D-Link (DWA-140) Malfunction

Hello good people of the internet!
After losing my old D-Link I decided to buy a new one
This turned out to be a pricy affair, the new one did set me back a bit and to top it off it has not worked flawlessly!

The problem I've been having is that after a while it loses its signal or just turns itself off.
In layman's terms, the internet stops and the light on it doesn't flash anymore.
My "fix" for the problem, or rather fix for the sympthom is to take it out from the USB and reinsert it.

The time it takes for the D-Link to do this varies greatly, but as a general rule it does it faster if I'm using alot of bandwith.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!
