[SOLVED] COM3 Port Gone/print-spool errors

Suddenly after 2yrs with no problems got "Function address 0x... caused a protection fault..." and each program I try to print from shuts down. Then when trying to use modem to connect to Charge Card Co. the modem won't connect. COM3 port is missing from devices. My modem still shows it is connected to COM3. My Dell Optiplex 320 has an internal modem with the phone line going directly to the phone jack. It was working before the June 9, 2009 MS updates.

So, can't print or put in credit card payments. When checking printer properties for the OKI C5150n it has the function error. When I turn the printer on I get a Spooler SubSystem App ... error. Have tried uninstalling the oki drivers and re-installing it. Also MS Word will not even open and the auto repair doesn't work either. Dell won't help because I messed with registry by deleting oki drivers. Please help, I've been researching this for over a week. tia
