This is what I recommend to do here:
1. Remove any printer software and driver from previous installations through add/remove in control panel
also check in program files folder for any left over folders that have to do with the printer.
2. reboot pc
3. Now since you had trouble before: download and install antimalwarebytes
here:
http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php
Run a full scan
4. turn on printer, but leave the usb disconnected for now.
5. Install the driver and software
6. During the installation you will be asked to connect the usb cable
to your pc and to the printer.
7. after installation finishes, reboot pc
Note: first the antimalwarebyte scan is to make sure you get a good install
of the printer. After scanning is done, wouldnt hurt to clean disc and delete temp files and cookies.
The other thing here is to repeat this same installation for the other window installation also as described above.
