My System

Re: My Computer Build

The hard drive is a good storage drive, but not so good as an OS drive, it's slower. Part of the power and noise reduction thing. I just picked up a couple of 640GB Caviar Black drives, though you do pay the price in more noise and power consumption.

Naturally, I like your case pick. Very nice to work in, plenty of space. Good to run cable behind the motherboard tray, not as much spaghetti to block airflow, and there's lots of that. I doesn't come with a fan for the door, any 120x120 x 25 works there, and clips in very easily. There is also a mid-fan mount that clips onto one of the drive bays, but if you use that you can't have any hard drives in that particular bay. Still leaves room for six drives, so no biggie. Leave a bit of slack in the power and data cables to those drives, to clean the filters you need to slide the bays out an inch or so, if the cables are tight, you'll end up unplugging something.
