We run 4 XP machines and one Vista machine on our LAN connected through a Netgear wireless router. One of the XP machines, a new Panasonic Toughbook, shared files for a month then abruptly stopped sharing. Other facts:
- Toughbook still appears in the workgroup when viewed from another machine, however it does not share files.
- When the workgroup is opened on the Toughbook, it shows no other machines.
- The Toughbook sees the internet
- Pinging the Toughbook fails from any machine, and it cannot ping other machines on the LAN.
- Windows Firewall is disabled
- Antivirus software removed, using windows add/remove programs
- File and printer sharing enabled
- Workgroup name = WORKGROUP

Please help! PS. Johnwill I see you're interested in flying, live near DYL by any chance?
