It is all about "Change," "openess in government," "following the law," "being up front with everyone," and all those other things we were promised. You just have to give Obama a little time to understand since he seems to conveniently "forget" to follow the rules that are in place, or maybe he is a little "slow" on some things and can't get them yet.

He follows all the aforementioned things when it is convenient to his purpose and other wise the heck with everything and everone else. Now, that is real "change," and if you remember, that is what we were promised.
Of course, we might look for an alternative explanation that goes beyond "leaked" emails or alleged cell phone calls and addresses real issues. Hey, Weed! I know you've been an administrator. Did you never tell an employee that they were going to be dismissed for cause and then give them the chance to resign and avoid public embarrassment and possible legal action? I certainly have.

In particular, you should note that President Obama's declaration that he intends to fire Walpin isn't the same thing as illegally dismissing him. A one hour deadline to resign "or else" isn't the same thing as being terminated in an hour.

In fact, problems with Walpin's conduct predate the Obama administration. Here is a pretty good, relatively non-partisan discussion of the issue.
