Apparently, I have "MALWARE." I don't know what this is or what to do about it!!! :( If I am going to have to wipe my computer clean. I ran a Windows Defender scan this morning, and it said everything is hunky dory. But this bug has even infected McAfee! Unbelieveable!!! My computer won't download anything now--even things people have tried to fix my problems! (I actually paid someone to try to help me online.)
The bar I am missing is the one that says "File" etc. The really basic one. The "Internet information bar." I was told that if it was "hiding," you could just "right-click anywhere there was a blank space, and it would pop back up," but that hasn't worked.
Also, it no longer says Windows Internet Explorer across the top of the blue bar at the very top of the screen. I'm in big trouble.
