ubuntu 9.04 software start up

Hello everyone,

What I want to do is have 'ypops' start up when I click on 'Thunderbird' does anyone know of a way to make a program start when another program is started up? I think this should be pretty easy I am just not sure what file in 'Thunderbird 2.0' I could add a line to that would make this happen any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also if anyone knows of a way I can view what files are accessed when a program is started that could be a great help.

Thanks

Jason
