Toro zmaster output shaft oil seal

Hello,
I have a Toro zmaster with a kohler engine with the rear output shaft that runs the pulleys for the belts which then turns the drives on the 52" deck. theres a oil seal that slides onto the output shaft that has popped out twice after being replaced, happens after mowing for awhile when motor is hot and then sprays oil all over exhaust and back of engine. the first one (original) was made of plastic so i replaced it with a metal one and the same thing happened yesterday. can anyone tell me why it pops out and how to stop it, possibly sometype of sealant? the output shaft bearing seems to be in good condition no wobbeling and turns smoothly, help please this is frustating.
