Thanks those code worked. My cam is able to be detected by skype again. But the thing is that. Whenever either I turn on my cam during a skype call or when my friend turn it on during a conversation, my computer would hang. Sometimes when it hangs I would press ctrl alt F12 then ctrl alt delete to restart the system. But at times when ctrl alt F12 doesn't work, what should I do to restart the system? I can't possibly keep pressing the off button. Because after doing that for sometime, I might not even be able to load Ubuntu. I've been in that situation before and I had to reinstall ubuntu.
