The external voltage regulator may need to be replaced, the bad part is on some models its located in the pcm on others it's external. Check the amperage on the new alternator it should be 90 or 124. Do a parasitic load test or with a test light check for shorts and see if the battery is leaking to another circuit. Check to see if your hood light drains the battery, sometimes the simplest things cause the biggest problems.
