Unable to connect Ps3

Ok so I just purchased a new Ps3, got it home and plugged it in and proceeded to do a network search. It found my router, signal strength was around 60% which considering my 360 couldn't even locate the thing, I was surprised.

So I attempted to connect, entered my WEP key and selected;

Automatic = IP Address
Do Not Set = DHCP
Automatic = DNS settings
Automatic = MTU
Do Not Use = Proxy Server
Enable = UPnP

I also ensured that the MAC address for the Ps3 was added to the approved list of my router and that the router still had remaining IP slots to allocate, all of this checked out fine.

I saved my settings and tested the connection, only to have the whole thing time out on me and fail to make it pass the IP address stage. I have tried looking over page after page, but am basically swamped and have no idea what will work best. I am using wireless, working with an NTL modem connected to a US Robotics USR5462 router.

There are currently;

2x iMacs
1x PC
4x iBooks
3x iPod Touches
1x DS

All of which are connecting to the router with no problem, just entered the WEP key and was online. If anyone could help with this problem I would be extremely grateful.

Thanks,
Nate
