Since you installed ubuntu, may I ask if you used the live cd, or the alternate install cd.
If you used the live cd, you can use gparted from there.
If you execute the command sudo parted -l, and paste the results here, we shall be happy to help you with more exact information.
If you did not use the live cd, you will need either the gparted live cd, as recommended above, or ubuntu live cd, for your type of pc.
Once we know what cd you have, the list of partitions, this will take but a moment.
