I have a Tecumseh model # LV148EA for a 21" walk-behind Yard Machine lawnmower. I have looked at lots of troubleshooting guides and forum threads on many sites regarding surging but none describe my exact problem. The engine runs great when cold or mildly warm but after 2-3 minutes the throttle plate / governor link just starts wildly moving back and forth. All the way one direction and then fully the other. If I let it cool down it works great again, all maintaining status quo, until the engine gets back up to full operating temperature. No other articles seem to mention this warm-up/cool down period. Fresh gas, good plug, did full disassemble and cleaning of carb.
