Hello I have linux mint.. I am fairly new to linux and do not understand all the terms completley but i am a quick learner. I have a Radeon X1650 Graphics card and a fairly good monitor. which in windows i was able to get 1600x1400 screen resolution out of. At one point I even had Ubuntu 8.10 and it also allowed this resolution. But the upgrade came to 9.04. And everything said that the third party drivers were dropped. Which is all well and good but now the max resolution i can get is 1360x768.I would really like my high resolutions back. Is there any solution?
