Hi Wmorri,
Thanks for your interest. I eventually found the solution - it was to remove Google from my Add ons and then put it back. The problem itself came up whenever I tried to use the BBC's listen again feature. It stopped me getting sound. Somewhere on the Tech Support site there is a post which shows the precise window I got. It seems there is a range of "Assert in LSP" messages.
