Looks like a slow load/network fail whilst loading. Note that big images are what's being cut out. Check your network connection. Other than that some basic debugging ideas:

1) Does it only happen in FF or is it an IE problem aswell?
2) Have you tried opening firefox in safe mode (to kill extensions, this will catch any extension problems)? ([Winkey]+R, type "firefox -safe-mode", press enter)...
3) Have you tried re-installing your network? (e.g. reset any router/gateway, check every line, etc)...

p.s. It could also be dodgey drivers(XP might have tried to install plug and play drivers that clash with your network driers). It could also be removing the HD without having stopped writing to it. That's only if the HD is actually the problem.
