Thanks so much for your post. I had already uninstalled firefox and was unhappily using IE8, because I thought I had to. However, once I read your post, I decided to reinstall firefox and try your suggestions, even though I knew that pop-ups had not been disabled and I had reinstalled my javascript.

Thankfully, my firefox is working again - perfectly. The problem must have been one of my add-ons, even though they worked before, but one of them must gotten itself corrupted or something. When I uninstalled, I uninstalled completely, so my new installation gave me a fresh start. Now all I gotta do is get all my bookmarks back and I'll be a really happy camper again :-)
