Basementgeek: Thanks for the link , I'll be making a purchase on that particular puller asap based on your recommendation. From my understanding a typical crankshaft pulley puller can do the same job.
Tumbleweed36 : I use the same method, the only difference I don't have a leather hammer. I use a wooden hammer made by a broomstick handle and a piece of 4x4 wood threaded into it. I've used a dead-blow and teflon hammer types, but I find they still damage the fins if a miscalculation occurs.
