Smile Hi y'all!

Hi everybody!

My name's Manuel, I'm a senior computer engineer from Spain, I met this forum when searching for how to update my laptop's processor.

I'm so glad to join and I hope to help as much as I can!

BTW, my mother tongue is spanish, feel free to contact me via this language if you prefer. Also I apologize for my more-than-probably language faults, altough I was in USA and other english countries for some time, now my skills are a bit 'rushed'

I do own some computer sets, actually two laptops and two or tree desktop systems. Specs follows:

- Laptop Packard-Bell EasyNote M5264, original one with no mods, original Windows XP Home licence and totally up-to-date. Also second partition with Musix Linux inside, mainly for my hobbies' duties (I'm a wannabe-bluesbreaker).

- Laptop Samsung R60+, also original with 2 Gb RAM upgrading, HDD SATA 160 Gb, WinVista Home Premium Original and up-to-date, second partition with the latest Ubuntu Linux 9.04, mainly for web programming, etc (more serious tasks)

- Desktop computer 1: Clone home-mounted Pentium 4 HT @ 3,06 Ghz, with 1 Gb. DDR Ram, nVidia AGP 8X - 512 Mb Graphic Card, 2 x 160 Gb HDD EIDE ATA 133, professional sound card, Wifi PCI b-g card, IEEE 1394 PCI card, RAID PCI card, Akasa cardreader, DVD-RW Lscribe optical unit, NEC Chassis with original Win XP Home Edition, etc.

- Desktop computer 2: Clone home-mounted Pentium 4 2,60 GHz with 512 Mb. DDR Ram, nVidia AGP 4X - 64 Mb Graphic Card, 1 x 40 Gb HDD EIDE ATA 100, integrated sound card AC'97 type, integrated 10-100 lan card, DVD-ROM unit, CD-RW unit, etc. (This is -sometimes- in use by my 9-years'old son)

- In mounting process: Clone CPU Pentium II @ 266 Mhz with 512 Mb RAM (2 x 256 SD-RAM modules), AGP 4x nVidia Graphics Card, integrated sound & lan, PCI SCSI Card, 2nd PCI network card, 2 x USB 1.1 integrated ports, recycled from someone's trash bin... For future Linux proxy use... Or for making a gift, don't know...

Well, that's all for now, folks!

Greetz for everyone!

Manu
