Shared CCTV on a subnet
Can anyone help me as our network guy at work has done a runner!
We have a depot connected to our internal WAN via a BT managed router. The depot's subnet is 10.184.55.0/24 (using a subnet mask 255.255.255.0) PCs get their IP address from a central DCHP server on the WAN.
In addition we have a CCTV monitor on the network. This is accessed by our security contractors via a separate ADSL router. The IP address of the CCTV monitor is 10.184.55.28 (static) and the internal ip address of the router is 10.184.55.29. The CCTV monitor has a gateway of 10.284.55.29
The manager can see CCTV images when on site (same ubnet) but cannot when at their other site due to the monitors gateway.
The ADSL router can configure static routes. Can I put in a static route to point to the other site's subnet via the gateway 10.184.55.1 so it goes through the internal router instead?
Thanks in advance
