Empire Total War is a realistic RTS game with a Civ 4 element. The last game this company made thats like Empire Total War I think was Rome: total war.

In the Battles you have to think strategy
Terrain
elevation
Cover
Flanking
range
movement speed of enemy
set up time of your troops

Its a pretty involved RTS and the physics are unbelievably realistic
