Sounds like a data base from Video Store which is a Point of Sale type program.
The interesting part is that TVS does not list W95 or W98 as supported systems and it is shareware>

I think there is a backup feature in the software to back up your data base, install the program on the new system first, then try to apply the backup and check that your customer lists and movie lists are the same.
Working from memory here I haven't seen that program in about 7-8 years.
