I'd suggest searching for Memtest 86+. It's the latest, & best suited for the latest CPU's.
I used it to troubleshoot under-performing memory. It allows you to evaluate how different latency settings, PAT, etc. impact memory errors. Floppy boot, you don't even need to hook up your hard drives!
I'll go one step further....I'd suggest using it for a new computer build. Test your memory out before connecting hard drives & installing your operating system.
