Just to let you know at least from the prices I seen
pentium 4 3,2ghz(LGA775) cost $227
athlon 64 3200+(skt 939) cost $190
athlon 64 3500+(skt 939) cost $267

If you can afford the athlon 64 3500+ I would go for it. It is a GREAT gamming cpu for what I think not that bad of price. I think the athlon 64 3500+ would take full advantage of the geforce 6800GT. I not sure if the pentium would or the athlon 64 3200+.
