Hello...
When you try to log to Hotmail or E-Bay, you are switching from HTTP [port 80, un-secured port] to HTTPS [port 443, SSL or Secure Socket Layer]
Maybe for some reason, router does not allow bypassing through this SSL...
I think you can change this in Wireless router settings...
maybe I am wrong, but it is worth to try it =)
