The way Realtek has it set-up is that for recording it senses the input. You can adjust recording levels but you can't do it for each individual input. It's a master recording volume.
In the Realtek Audio Manager it's under the Mixer tab. To adjust the recording volume you move the volume knob under the Recording title.
Not sure if any of that is going to help with what is going on but thought I would say something.
