Can't capture sound while recording screen

I'm using FRAPS and I have a Realtek AC97 onboard HD sound.

I'm using stereo-mix to record the sound, I can't adjust the recording level of stereo-mix because the onboard sound is crap for making decent adjustments.

I also can't select it to record from anything, I have to mute what I don't want to it to record from. It also doesn't have WAVE available to record from, and I have all sound devices enabled under the Properties tab in Master Volume.

I don't see anything in Realtek's HD program for sound etc.

I'm running XP, SP3, All updates.

This is what happens.
