Have you looked in your BIOS to see if onboard audio is disabled?

Try removing your Audigy card from the computer. reboot. re-install your audio card.

How did you update your Creative driver? Thru windows?

Can you post a screen shot of Device Manager with Sound, video and game controllers section open?
