Put too much B12 in gas

I have a 21 hp B&S Intek OHV engine. When I pulled it out this summer and tried to start it it wouldn't stay running. A friend was was visiting and suggested putting B12 in gas. Well he put about 1/2 a can in 5 gallons of gas and the mower cranked up and ran, for about 30 minutes and I turned it off. The next weekend I went out to mow again, and at full throttle it started smoking real bad and died. I took the cowl off and looked to see what was going on and at idle it ran without smoking, but when I increased throttle it would pump an oil and gas misture back into the carb. through the vent tube, and sucked all the oil out of the engine.
Someone suggested that it may just be the valves, but I am thinking that I burned upmy engine. Any advice?
