Re: Is 2006 still the most recent Comp TIA course?

I just wanted to share my frustration. I was looking for a good book to start my learning and nothing was published later than 2006! (as you mentioned). I even went to the comptia site and couldn't find updated resources ( I may have missed them though)

Even a month is a world of difference for technology let alone three years. One bit of advice that I might offer is that basics never change. I have recently realized that my best option is to learn what these older books have (I might skip some of it of course) and then maybe I can learn the rest through on hand experience or a mentor. Also, I have seen books that are regarding pc knowledge, just not related to the A+ cert or comptia that were published in later years.

I know this isn't the answer you are looking for, but I was about to make the same post when I saw yours, so hey, your not alone.....

Maybe we will get a post that will help us both out...
