Go the your motherboard's manufacture site, download AND SAVE the full Audio Card Installer from there. Run the installer from your hard drive.

In the case of my home PC, I went to the MSI site (my motherboard) and downloaded and saved the RealTek Sound Installer from there. Ran the installer from my hard drive, AND wrote the installer to CD for future use.

Sound Cards are different from other driver installs, in that you must install the whole package which includes the drivers AND management software. It's all-or-nothing.
