First of all, you will do fine and not have to do it two times. Second, any time you remove it, you must redo it if you want it to work correctly.
I put them on and fire them up. You do need to know that many say that it takes a week or so for the Artic Silver to work to the most advantage. Otherwise, you may not see the optimum benefit immediately. But, I would guess you will see some immediate improvement and later on a little more improvement.
