Turning political is only the next step..... commercialisation has been around for a long time with the subtle exposure of name-brands.
Did any awards go to a person with
real talent?? All it takes today is to have the right (augmented) body parts and to be in the clique. IMHO all the pros are either retired or dead.
Maybe it wasn't touted on the screen, but for political statement the election of a member of the SAG to the office of President was pretty wild. I won't debate his merits in office but will say he was one good actor
