Re: KVM problems! Any hints?

Here is what I would start with. You know that your servers restart fine. I would work my way from the servers to the kvm, possibly replace the cable that runs between them, or at least make sure that something isn't loose. If that doesn't do it, check the cable that runs from the KVM to monitor. Change that if it seems fine. Also check the keyboard and mouse to make sure that they aren't bad.
If there is any other machines that are running on the KVM then I might check and make sure that they are usable. If you don't have any other machines on the KVM I might set up a test machine and make sure that it works.
Start with that and see what happens. I wouldn't start with the x windows system yet. That could be a lot of work that isn't needed in the end.
