Your log is clean. If you disabled System Restore, make sure to enable it now.
To help prevent future spyware installations/infections, please read the Anti-Spyware Tutorial (
http://www.greyknight17.com/spyware.htm#prevent) and use the tools provided.
For your Control Panel problem, you may have a corrupted entry there.
First thing I'd try is running the System File Checker.
- Put your XP CD in the drive.
- Go to Start/Run, type in sfc /scannow and click OK.
This will search your important system files for damage/corruption and replace as needed.
If this does not solve your problem, then open a new thread in the Windows XP forum on here for more help (now that the malware is gone).
