Died overnight, no post.

Hey, this is similar to a lot of the threads here, but I appreciate any advice, anyway, the PC:

Shuttle SP35P2 Pro w/400 Watt ATX mini PSU
Shuttle small form FP35 Motherbaord
Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4Ghz
4GB DDRII 800MHz
nVidia 8800GT

Shut down normally the evening before, turned on in the morning and it's dead. No new software or hardware installs, no impacts, no surges.

When I turn it on all fans start up but there is no video output or 'boot noises' (sorry :P), about 10 secs later it powers down, another 5 secs and it powers back up again (still no activity or output) until I shut off the power manually.

I've tried bench testing it; stripped down to psu, mobo, processor and video card and the same thing happens. Tried resetting cmos to no effect.

My only clue is that a small grill from the cooling system had fallen off and was lying across the mobo. Could a short have completely wiped it out?

Anyway, my main question is if anyone has any other theories about what might have gone wrong before I buy a new mobo.

Thanks
