Well for sure it was a power issue, I went back to where I purchased the board and case, I traded the case (power supply) in for another and also picked up an adaptor. It is working good now! but I don't know which was the problem, don't think I am going to try and find out either, going to just play. I just wanted to tell that the problem is resolved.

I have a similar problem. i have a 20 ping power connected to my asus p5p800 and when i play quake 3 the video freeze. sometime i come back but other time my pc reboot automaticly and and when it boot up come with a massage saying the video card was the reason for window to shout down. well the motherboad manual say its ok to use a 20 pings but i guest i better get the 24pings I'll let you know what happend when i get the 24 pings power
