I do have the software installed for it, yes.
I dont think it can be the mouse cable however, as the mouse starts to work correctly after a period of time has passed, this is without me touching the mouse. Also the mouse is fine for the rest of the day once it starts to work.
Good idea though.

Any other possibilities?
