HDD won't instal XP or Vista

Ok, so here is the issue. Yesterday my computer went on the fritz a little, I decided to reformat. I started to reformat, cleared the drive, deleted the partition, and made a new one, formatted it. I attempted to install Vista, after it copied the files and began to uncompress them I got an error 0x8007045d" Windows can not install required files, make sure all files are available and restart them. I tried to restart with, same problem. I tried another harddrive and the system will not allow me to even begin on this drive. It says there is no partition available for windows installation. I tried formatting this one as well, same problem. I then tried an IDE HDD, and still I have the same problem.

I tried to use 1 of the sticks of ram as opposed to all of them, same issue.

I tried installing windows XP, and in the same area of the installation (after the files are copied) the computer stops the installation again.

Any help would be appreciated.

The system is EVGA 780i SLI, 4x2gb mushkin ram, 150gb 10000 rpm WD raptor, 500gb Seagate baracuda, (3rd hdd) 60gb WD. Intel core 2 quad kentsfield 2.4ghz

Any help would be appreciated - I am totally lost.
