[SOLVED] Dell lattitude pin connector

Recently, my hardrive went out on a Dell Lattitude c800.
I ordered a wd scorpio from new egg, matched type drive ATA6 type.
My problem is the original pin connector has the 2 pins all the way on the left setback about 1/4 inch and actually blocked by the caddy so they don't really connect at all. The new drive has all the pins straight across, the 2 pins on the left are not set back.
As you may be able to tell, I know next to nothing about this stuff. What do I need to do to get the correct drive and pin arrangement for the c800.
Thanks, Will Groff
