Re: Can i recover my internal HDD?
raptor pa has the right idea. Most laptop drives are simply plugged in, and mostly to a standard laptop interface. Some computer shops will help you out with this if you are buying a new drive, but if that is not an option for you, go to cyberguys.com or a similar supplier and get an adaptor that will plug in to the back of your laptop drive and interface with either an IDE PATA connector on your dektop PC or a SATA connector is your computer is of a more recent vintage.
From there it should look like a normal drive. I had an external WDC USB drive fail on me and I had to rip apart the case and extract the hard disk. An adaptor from cyberguys came with both a data cable and power supply. It worked perfectly and I was able to transfer the contents of the entire drive over to another disk.
