my gut feeling is you didnt select the image process ..... but file process instead when you made your DVD's ................ if that was an image set ...... a program would be launching to get you thru the dvd's

when you browse these dvd disks on another computer ........ do you see actual files or do yo see things like :

bits and pieces of individual files from the "guts" of an image ? in other words ...... the fiels on your dvd disks .... can they be opened and viewed on another computer ?
