You could try testdisk or photorec. They are command line based, so not as easy to use as the GUI recovery softwares, but they are free. there is a sticky here with the testdisk walkthru. You could also try recuva from here
http://www.recuva.com/ it has a gui interface, but I've never used it so I can't speak to it's effectiveness.
