3: WEP. Im now possitve that i have the right "key" i just tried it on my mums computer and it is the right key (i was uncertain before because mum couldn't remember what she set it up to be.)
4: XP err not sure of the patch level. (If the patch level refers to the updates then its the most recent)
Ok. Now yes, i dragged my computer to the modum and hooked in an ethernet cable and it works perfeclty.
Next, i tried to find a way to disable the encryption on the main computer but i couldnt find it.
Its not a router or modum/ISP issue 1 because im on the internet now and 2 because the main computer works fine (with wireless).
Ok so ill go through wat happens when i try to connect to the internet via wireless. It says
"aquiring network addrerss"...... *waits* then after 2 mins it says
"limited or no conectivity" then within 1 min it just says
"connected". However the page just says "
this page cannot be displayed" *hits refresh just to be sure* still nothing. it gives the option
"Diagnose connection probloms" sure why not try it. After it ask me
to try these things iv already tried, like turn off the modum and wait a few mins, all it has to say is
"Check the trouble shooting section of the manual that came with your modum and or router for more info. Please contact your ISP or the manufacturer of ur modum/router for assistance." 
blah blah i didnt expect much from that but i tried anyway.
