Re: Compaq Evo n620c - Won't turn off
I tried opening it, but the power button is a tiny button that is soldered onto the motherboard, I do have another broken n620c that I could take the power button off of, but I don't have anywhere near the soldering skills to do the swap.
Also, I booted with a Xubuntu livecd. I was able to go into shutdown through the os and make the laptop turn off. Pressing the power button while it was off turned it back on, but again I could only turn it off again by making the os make it go through shutdown.
