ok i tried what you said and still no luck. I plugged everything in but still nothing. The computer just turns on then off right away.

Is it possible that my motherboard is "confused" as to the setting of the memory and is trying to run it at the improper frequency?

I can't think of what could be causing this. It was a simple change in the BIOS and resetting the BIOS and clearing the CMOS will not fix the problem.
