Re: system32 and symantec problems

Hi. .

During boot-up, Vista obtains files and drivers from various locations, most certainly from \system32 and \system32\drivers. Nothing wrong here.

What I see is that you are running Norton, McAfee and anti-spyware all at once. They are fighting each other - one tries to take the other out and you end up losing.

Get rid of them all - un-install antispyware, use the Norton & McAfee Removal Tools for these.

Re-boot after antispyware un-install.

Download the Norton Removal Tool (NRT) Norton Removal Tool and SAVE it to your desktop.

Close all Windows, then RIGHT-click on the NRT icon and select Run as Administrator. When complete - re-boot.

Repeat same procedure with McAfee RT -

Now reset the Windows Firewall to its default settings -
START | type FirewallSettings.exe into the start search box | click on FirewallSettings.exe above | select the Advanced Tab | click on "Restore Defaults" | Click Apply (if hi-lighted) | Click OK

Good Luck to you.

Regards. . .
