I've got a problem with my Satellite Pro 6000, which I got second hand and isn't under any warranty whatsoever. Right now, I'm simply trying to boot it up.
-The monitor won't turn on
-The hard drive is completely inactive (or the little light won't turn on)
-The power is on, but the only evidence of this is the light, and the heat ommitting from the PC.

In the rare occasion that my laptop boots up properly, everything works perfectly. well... up until the computer does this thing... I don't know really how to describe it. The computer completely stops working, and the screen is just blurring a bunch of colors, like a transition for a slideshow or something.

Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?
Preferrably a solution that costs no money whatsoever?
