My Toshiba Satellite laptop will not power up

I have a Toshiba Satellite L45-S7423. The motherboard went out on it back in September of this year and it was still under the first year warranty so the company fixed it. The warranty ran out on October 5, 2008 and this morning I get up and it will not power on again. This time is different than last time though. The battery charging indicator light is lit when it is plugged in but it won't do anything. Last time no lights would come on. I don't know what to do with it. Maybe I should just trash this one and buy a new one. If anyone has any advice on what I can do to bring the computer back up I would appreciate it.

I have already tried taking the battery out and waiting a few minutes to power it back up and that did not help.
